Vineland – Albert L. D’Ottavio, 84, of Vineland, passed away peacefully at his home on February 11, 2022 after a long illness. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Fernanda D’Ottavio, the youngest of four siblings. Albert worked with his two brothers on the family farm and then, in 1993, opened D’Otts Farmer’s Market where he worked with his wife Janice. Together they loved creating beautiful floral designs of all kinds as well as unique fruit baskets. Albert enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and tending to his garden. He loved mowing his lawn, crabbing and going to the casino to play roulette and eat crab legs. Above all, Albert loved being with his wife Janice and his children Bruce and Karen, his daughter-in-law Angela and his granddaughter Lauren. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends and especially enjoyed many occasions with his nephew Wayne and his wife Sharon and their family. Albert was known for his famous apple strudel and clam casino. Albert had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He is survived by his beloved son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Angela D’Ottavio; his beloved daughter, Karen D’Ottavio who devoted many years of care to him in his final years; her step-granddaughter Lauren D’Ottavio and her fiancé Matthew Weinstein; and several nieces, nephews, cousins ​​and friends. In addition to his parents, Albert was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Janice (Giglio) D’Ottavio; sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and John Corsiglia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward and Mary D’Ottavio and Nicholas and Grace D’Ottavio; his in-laws Peter & Catherine Giglio and his brother-in-law Anthony Giglio. The family would like to thank their dedicated health care providers, Joanne, Joyce and Karl. A visitation at the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow at St Mary’s – Vineland Cemetery. Everyone is asked to wear a mask regardless of their vaccination status.
