North Carolina Commercial Fisheries Resource Fund Committees Seek Proposals – The Coastland Times

The North Carolina Marine Fisheries Commission Commercial Resource Fund Committee and the NC Commercial Fishing Resource Fund Funding Committee began accepting applications April 1 for the 2022 funding cycle of the NC Commercial Fishing Resource Fund.

The Commercial Fishing Resource Fund receives proceeds from the sale of commercial fishing licenses and provides grants for sustainable commercial fishing development projects in the state.

Proposals from public and private entities will be accepted. Grants will be subject to the Crown’s contractual terms and conditions.

The North Carolina Marine Fisheries Commission Commercial Resource Fund Committee and the North Carolina Commercial Fisheries Resource Fund Funding Committee will evaluate and rank proposals for funding.

All initial proposals must be submitted to the Sea Fisheries Division by 5 p.m. on June 1, 2022. Instructions for submitting a proposal and an application form can be downloaded from the Sea Fisheries Division website at deq.nc.gov/commercial-fishing-resource-fund.
